The chuteless equation
We’re often asked to explain chuteless as a concept, and really it boils down to the following equation: ‘We are going to XXX without XXX in order to XXX’.
A few examples that we’re considering:
‘We are going to WALK FROM THE NORTHERN TO SOUTHERN TIP OF MANHATTAN without SIGHT (IE BLINDFOLDED) in order to TERRIFY OURSELVES AND TEST WHETHER NEW YORKERS ARE GOOD...

Francie from day 1. Jersey to Bloomsburg. The first domino. And our last visit.
James from day 2. Bloomsburg to Nelson Ledges. One of the nicest people we met.
Adam and Nikki from day 3. Nelson Ledges to Columbus. Tracked them down in Zanesville. Awesome people.
Sam from day 3. Columbus to Indianapolis. Caught up with her in Hiliard Ohio.
Amusing ourselves during long drives.
“how do you catch a rattlesnake”
We just picked up our first hitcher. He’s called Ron. He caught 6 catfish yesterday. He just sprained his ankle bailing hay so he’s been sent home from work.
Tim and Jennifer from day 5 and 6. St Louis to Grand Junction. Tracked them down in Durango. Said thanks and gave them the art on Tim’s 26th birthday. Whoop whoop.
Dennis from day 9. Vegas - Primm. Eventually tracked him down just outside Vegas.
Veronica from day 8. Moapa to Lake Mead. Tracked her down just outside Vegas.
“what are you doing with your hand”
Mr X and Mr Y from day 7 and 8. Grand Junction to Moapa. Tracked them down in Vegas.
Vegas, baby.
Day 11. 00:05
In case you’re just reconnecting, we made it to LA early Sunday morning to complete the mission (which we’re obviously ecstatic about). But instead of flying back as planned, we’ve decided instead to retrace our steps cross-country by car and revisit our lift-givers to say thank-you in person. So the adventure will continue for a few more days. Stay tuned.
Sandi from day 4. Indianapolis - St Louis. Tracked her down in San Diego.
Job done. But we’ve decided to continue the adventure…
